I currently offer therapy services via telehealth only. Both individual and group therapy sessions take place via a HIPAA-compliant video platform, typically Google Meet. This allows me to work with clients all across the state of Maryland!

Individual Therapy is provided in 55-minute sessions, typically on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on client needs and scheduling. My out-of-pocket rate for individual therapy is $160/session.

I facilitate themed therapy and support groups based on scheduling and interest levels. Groups typically meet for 1 hour per week, for 6 to 8 weeks. My rate for groups is $40/session. At this time I do not accept insurance for group therapy.

Insurance

I am currently in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and Optum (United Health Care) plans!

Most of my insurance clients can expect to pay a co-pay for each session, which varies based on your individual therapy plan, deductible, etc.

What about out-of-network benefits?

If you do not have one of the insurances that I am currently in-network with, you may be able to be reimbursed for our sessions if your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits.

I am able to provide clients a superbill (a list of services provided, their cost, and information like diagnostic codes that are required for insurance coverage) to submit to their insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Here are some questions to research or ask your insurance company to see if you can receive reimbursement for out-of-network therapy services:

  • Does my insurance plan offer out-of-network benefits?

  • Do I need to reach a deductible before my plan will cover out-of-network benefits? If so, how much?

  • What would my co-pay be for therapy with an out-of-network provider?

Reimbursement rates and out-of-network benefits vary across insurance providers and plans. If you are planning to submit superbills for reimbursement, you can do this yourself with your insurance company, or use third-party apps like Thrizer to submit the paperwork for you.
